Significant Budget Cuts

For the 2025-2026 school year, Quebec's education network is facing substantial budget cuts, reportedly over $510 million. Among the potential impacts are reduced student support and resources and overcrowded classrooms.

Persistent Teacher Shortage

The system continues to grapple with a severe teacher shortage. Weeks before the 2025-2026 school year began, over 4,000 teaching positions remained unfilled, and reliance on unqualified teachers remains high, the latest available figure being over 9,000.

Negative environment

Children are often exposed to negative peer-pressure, such as hyper sexualization (pornography, masturbation), premature relationships, violence, music with violent and obscene lyrics, smoking, drugs, etc.

Difficulty practicing faith

Many Muslim students find it challenging to practice their faith freely in public schools. Issues like difficulty with daily as well as Jumu'ah prayers, exposure to non-Islamic events, concerns about Haram food, intermingling, and teaching of atheistic or Islam-contrary subjects can create an environment misaligned with your family's values.

A play-based introduction to learning, following the Quebec Ministry Kindergarten curriculum. Classes are taught in French, starting at a comfortable, basic level and progressing gradually so your child can ease into the language — with Islamic teachings woven throughout in a warm, values-centered environment.

He holds a bachelor's in computer engineering from McGill University and pursued Islamic studies at Al-Ihsan Educational Foundation and Darul Uloom Bury. He has instructed both intermediate Islamic courses and the 'Aalimiyyah program, guiding students to establish their own initiatives.

Imam & Instructor

Born and raised in Montreal, he completed Hifz at Makkah Masjid and a 7-year 'Aalimiyyah program in Darul Uloom Azaadville, focusing on Arabic sciences, jurisprudence, hadith, and Quranic exegesis. Upon returning to Montreal, he dedicates himself to teaching and training future scholars locally.

What is the Class format?

Sessions Duration: beginning in early September and concluding in mid/end June

Classes timings:

  • Kindergarten (K4 & K5): Mon–Thu, 8:30 AM–11:30 AM
  • Grades 1–11: Mon–Fri*, HSS (Academics) 8:30 AM–12:45 PM, Hifz (Qur'an Memorization) 1:15 PM–3:30 PM
  • *Fridays (Jummah): 8:30 AM–11:50 AM

Assessments: at the end of every chapter/module

Periodic Presentations: to synthesize material learned in class

What's required before my child starts?

Parents, tutors, and students all sign an agreement outlining expectations and roles before tutoring begins. Full details on our tutoring structure and how progress is tracked are shared at Orientation and/or your first Parent-Tutor meeting.

Can my child join if they have special needs?

At this time, we're unfortunately unable to accommodate students with a high degree of special needs requiring specialized services or adapted teaching methods. Please reach out to us directly to discuss your child's specific situation.

What are the program fees?

Kindergarten (K4 & K5): $200/month per child

Grades 1–11: $350/month per child

The fee helps support our tutors and program resources. Discounts are available for parents who volunteer or take part in tutoring.

Are course materials provided?

Yes, all necessary materials will be provided either digitally or in print, ensuring that you have everything you need to succeed.

What language is Kindergarten taught in?

Kindergarten classes are taught in French to help prepare students for the French school system. Since French isn't the first language for most students at this age, we start at a comfortable, basic level and progress gradually.

Is Integrated Tahfeez mandatory?

No — Tahfeez is optional and available to both boys and girls in Grades 1–11. It's included in your Home School Support enrollment at no extra cost, with dedicated class time after the regular academic day.
